Audio Mix House History
We opened our doors in 2003 as Odds On Recording Studios, manufacturing CDs and DVDs in one building, with a single-room recording studio next door. Our recording business grew steadily. In 2007, we launched the Odds On Records label, providing à la carte label, distribution, marketing, and development services for a select group of known and new artists such as Air Supply, Ultraviolet Sound, and Greg Medoro, among others.
In 2009, with noted acoustician Carl Yanchar, we altered a 12,000 square-foot floor plan and improved the sonic integrity of 7,000 square feet of studio space. This expansion included a purpose-built 1,200-square-foot orchestra-ready tracking room to accommodate live big-band performances. We teamed up with Solid State Logic to add a 96-channel SSL Duality and SSL Matrix consoles to our new rooms. The renovation was a success. In 2009, we were nominated for a Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in the Studio Design Project category. As our business and technical savvy grew, the local music scene grew, and the industry began to change.
